Madame Uriah

After Thamar, Rahab, Ruth, the Qoheleth Team of Women, Leve Fanm yo, decided to consider the fourth woman named Madame Uriah to mark the sex scandal of King David, the official representative of patriarchal power. This story describes the abuse of the patriarchal system which destroys a person's life as it sees fit. The original name of Madame Uriah is Bath-Sheba or Bethsabee meaning the "daughter of the oath". Already his name establishes an alliance.

She lives in Jerusalem a few meters from the Royal Palace. She is Jewish. Comparable a little to Rebecca who directed her second son Jacob towards the blessing, she imposes her son Solomon, “Beloved of Yahweh” [2S12.24], as king to the detriment of all the privileged heirs of the Kingdom. It deals a heavy blow to the patriarchal system with the contribution of the prophet Nathan.

Following this most tragic event, the royal palace was transformed into a place of Passion, true fasting and prayer and the Eucharist (food, bread) according to 2 Samuel 12.

This is all attested by the presence of Bath Sheba in Jerusalem / Bethlehem as the place of birth, passion, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

For this new couple, mourning and fasting did not get the better of the death of the bastard child [of Madame Urie]. He submits completely to the will of Yahweh. It is the same on the Mount of Olives for the Messiah who said: "Father, if you wanted to take this cup away from me!" However, may not my will be done, but yours ".

"Bathsheba is, according to rabbinical literature, the woman who consolidates her place in the Davidic kingdom and who inscribes her name in perpetuity".

King Solomon consecrated her "Queen Mother" of his kingdom.

“Bathsheba came to King Solomon to speak to him on behalf of Adonijah. The king got up to meet her, bowed down to her, and sat down on his throne. A seat was made for the king's mother, and she sat down on his right hand ”(1 Kgs 2.19)

Bath-Sheba symbolizes Jerusalem as a sign of fairness and peace. It symbolizes this glorious city with a pacifist vocation, which will participate in the unity of the three monotheisms, namely Judaism, Christianity and Islam under the aegis of the All Other.

“He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will not come out any more; I will write on him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, of the new Jerusalem which comes down from heaven to my God, and my new name. "(Rev. 3,12)

The Qoheleth Team of Women, Leve Fanm yo, encourage you to emulate this intelligent woman who brings out the consequences of sin, including forbidden sex, theft and murder as the foundation of the system. David missed God's plan for his life. "You are a man who shed a lot of blood, it is not you who will build the Temple, it is your son". With Madame Urie's presence at the Royal Palace, what was normal for this system becomes abnormal. The virtues of sexual obsession and machismo are no longer seen as heroic acts of conquering power. Man must fight his evil inclinations and must not play lightly with the commandments of God. Madame Uriah is placed in the genealogy of Jesus to indicate that the law of the kingdom is one for all, rich or poor, great or small, intelligent or foolish

Shalom and Shalom!
